The UK Prime Minister is expected to urge partner nations to deliver Ukraine with additional extended-range weaponry to strike Russian targets during discussions in Britain on the upcoming Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "alliance of supportive nations", comprising more than 20 of Ukraine's allies who have pledged to provide Kyiv security guarantees once fighting stops is brokered.

Zelensky has been pleading for an extended period for more long-range weapons from the West, a move that Russia has cautions would worsen the war.

Ukraine's leader is travelling from the EU capital, where he conferred with European Union officials on Thursday requesting financial support.

Britain's leader will urge participants to increase the delivery of advanced missile technology following an effective strike on a chemical plant in the Russian city, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles.
