In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-based attire for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Special arms
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature techniques: Naoe introduces a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
